FGS Auerbach (M1093)
Kiel (ots) - Am 31. Januar um 10 Uhr verlässt das zum 5. Minensuchgeschwader gehörige Hohlstablenkboot "Auerbach/Oberpfalz" seinen Heimathafen Kiel und nimmt Kurs in Richtung libanesische Küste. Dort wird sie das Minenjagdboot "Passau" ablösen, um sich als Teil des deutschen Marineeinsatzverbandes an der Mission UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) zu beteiligen. ©Bundeswehr/ PIZ Marine.

Wilhelmshaven (ots) - Zur ihrer voraussichtlich letzten Teilnahme an einem maritimen Einsatzverband verlässt die Fregatte "Rheinland-Pfalz" am Mittwoch, den 1. Februar, den Marinestützpunkt Wilhelmshaven. The U.S. Navy Los Angeles attack submarine USS La Jolla (SSN 701) with the deep submergence rescue vehicle Mystic (DSRV-1) attached, gets underway to participate in the submarine rescue Exercise Pacific Reach 2002. La Jolla and Mystic will operate with surface ships and submarines from the U.S., Japan, Australia, the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Singapore during Exercise Pacific Reach. Mystic was specifically designed to fill the need for an improved means of rescuing the crew of a submarine immobilized on the ocean floor. The EML Tasuja (A432) is built in Denmark, in a Svendborg Værft shipyard in Denmark. The vessel was launched on 7 June 1977 and she entered service a year later on 14 June 1978.
