USS Crommelin (FFG 37)
The guided-missile frigate USS Crommelin (FFG 37) enters port at Sattahip. Crommelin is currently participating in the Thailand phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT). USS Safeguard (ARS 50)
The rescue and salvage ship USS Safeguard (ARS 50) makes her way through the Java Sea en route to Surabaya, Indonesia for the fourth phase of the 2005 Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) exercise. Safeguard is part of a three-ship task group, including the dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) and guided missile frigate USS Rodney M. Davis (FFG 60) that will take part in CARAT Indonesia beginning July 25. Indian Navy frigate INS Brahmaputra (F 31) takes its position during Malabar 2007, an exercise involving Kitty Hawk and Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and ships of the navies of Australia, India, Japan, and the Republic of Singapore. At the request of the government of Indonesia, Mercy, MSC combat stores ships USNS Niagara Falls (T-AFS 3) and USNS San Jose (T-AFS 7) are on station off the coast of Nias, providing assistance as determined appropriate and necessary with earthquake disaster relief efforts and provide medical assistance to those in need.
