USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6)

The amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) arrives in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii for a brief port visit on its return leg of a six-month deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Bonhomme Richard, the flagship of Expeditionary Strike Group Five, has made three deployments during the past three years in support of the Global War on Terrorism, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. The LCACs of Assault Craft Unit Five (ACU-5) are capable of transporting more supplies than helicopters in a single trip. SPS Victoria (F82)

The view from the rear of a Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) Landing Craft Utility (LCU) embarked aboard RSS Endurance (L 207) as it departs the Spanish Navy Santa Maria-class frigate Victoria (F 82). The tank landing ship Endurance was transferring members of the Spanish19th Special Forces Unit. Spanish and Singapore Navy units are participating in the multi-nation Exercise Sea Saber 2004. The guided missile frigate USS McInerney (FFG 8) is anchored in Caldera Bay, Chile, while its crew enjoys a day of liberty in town. McInerney is among 19 ships participating in Teamwork South 2003. Teamwork South is a bi-annual multi-national exercise hosted by the Chilean Navy and conducted in Chilean territorial waters to further bolster a robust relationship and mutual understanding in the region. It offers a unique opportunity to maintain a consistent training environment in the region as well as a continued multi-national commitment to hemispheric defense and coalition.
